INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR WINDMILL MANUFACTURING FACILITIES
Welcome to FREES, INC., the acknowledged ventilation experts in the fiberglass fabrication industry, with over 60 years of trusted and reliable service. FREES has designed, engineered, fabricated and installed over 300 quality systems in FRP facilities across North America, and we have more of the same to offer the windmill manufacturing industry, both here and abroad.
FREES, INC., is the pioneer and the inventor of FREES DIRECTED AIR FLOW SYSTEM™ and FREES DUST-FREE CONTROL SYSTEM™, which lend themselves quite well to windmill manufacturing facility needs. Our turnkey capabilities and single-source responsibility can provide your company with the most effective air quality management system at the lowest comparable cost, with OSHA compliance results that are GUARANTEED!
We also have innovative "openbooth" dust control technology for grinding and cutting operations for both open-and-closed-mold fiberglass operations. These systems would serve the windmill blade grinding areas very nicely.
We stand ready, able, and willing to discuss problem solving opportunities in your facility. If you have any questions, we'll be happy to answer them. Please contact us--we look forward to hearing from you.
Ventilation Control in Gel Coat, Lamination and other styrene vapor-producing areas
The FREES DIRECTED AIR FLOW SYSTEM™ insures that your plant operates safely within the strict limits required by OSHA. The hazardous styrene monomer vapors produced in the gel coat and lamination processes must be controlled. Frees is proud to offer the only written performance guarantee for compliance with OSHA's 50 PPM TWA limit for worker exposure to styrene.
Dust Control in Trimming and Grinding Operations
A FREES DUST-FREE™ system can greatly improve the working conditions in what is normally a difficult, uncomfortable, and potentially hazardous work enviornment. It also contains much of the dust that could adversely affect the quality of nearby parts. The fiberglass particles created by trimming and grinding are contained within the grinding booth, transported away from the workers, and collected for proper disposal. Our system removes the dust and returns clean air back to the workplace.
Worker Comfort Control
Recent studies have shown that high temperatures in the workplace directly affect the productivity of workers. In fact, the study showed a 45 percent decrease in worker productivity due to high workplace termperatures. More comfortable working conditions can also have a positive impact on product quality, worker absenteeism, and can reduce employee turnover.
We have several ways to provide cooling in warm weather and heating in cold weather, in a manner that is compatible with the process ventilation systems we install. One of these is using our FREE-COOL™ evaporative cooling equipment. These cause "effective cooling" by increasing skin surface evaporation, much like a cool breeze from a lake. This method is both economical to install and to operate.
Process and Productivity Control
Our years of experience in hundreds of marine and other composites manufacturing facilities makes us more than just a ventilation specialist. We may be able to help you solve other technical challenges unique to your facility. We will work with you as a partner to review your application methods, evaluate equipment and material specifications, and examine your process flow and plant layout. We work directly with each department manager to identify opportunities to improve process and product flow, with the goal of increasing each one's profitability. The result is a directed plan for implementation of the methods, systems, and programs needed to deliver the desired result.
